The Hovi family of compressed quartz vinyl tiles has been designed especially for use in public premises with heavy traffic. Our unique compression technology provides a flexible yet durable structure, while making the surface of the tiles dense and dirt resistant. Hovi tiles resist breakage by conforming with the irregularities of the underlying surface. The main raw material used in Hovi tiles is quartz sand, which ensures that the tiles are durable and can withstand heavy usage - even forklift trucks. Hovi tiles have been used in public premises for over 60 years.
Hovi tiles are an ecological and safe choice thanks to their low content of plasticisers/PVC. The new collections 2010 use a new biobased plasticiser which is phthalate- and DEHP free. Hovi tiles have been granted the FloorScore certification for low emissions into indoor air.
Hovi tiles feature UV-strengthened PUR surface treatment, which makes the tiles easy to clean and eliminates the need for initial waxing.
